Something More About Me
It was like a duck taking to water when I began teaching technology to people. This is my calling; this is my passion.
I love to teach technology. I love to witness that “a-HA” moment when I know my student gets it. It makes me proud as a teacher to be part of that.
I am particularly proud to teach the Mac. From middle schools to high schools, to libraries, to senior centers, to retailers, and in-home too, I have been leading sessions on one form of consumer electronics or another since 1991. At Abt Electronics in Glenview, I led weekly classes for over 18 years on computers, photography, and videography. I taught technology at Glenbrook North High School in Northbrook for over 8 years. My concentration on the Mac began in 1997. For my patience and teaching skills, I have been featured in articles in the Chicago Sun-Times, Pioneer Press, Crain’s Small Business, and Premiere magazine.
Having taught thousands of people about technology over the years, I have come to realize that the Mac is the superior computer platform for people to learn. I do not try to change committed Windows users to the Mac, but I am convinced that anyone learning a computer for the first time should learn on a Mac. The Mac really is that much better.
